About your teacher
Hélène Rush has been a knitwear designer for almost
20 years. She has authored several books published by Down East
Books and Interweave Press, including an all-time favorite for many
knitters, "Maine Woods Woolies." She is a former editor
of McCall's Needlework and Crafts magazine, and of The
Knitting Gazette, and has contributed thousands of designs to
publications such as Knitters, Interweave Knits, Better Homes
and Gardens, Knitting Digest, Knitting World, Knitting Digest, Vogue
Knitting, Family Circle Knitting, Knit'n Style, and many more.
She has worked as technical editor for the Monsanto Designs for
America program, McCall's Needlework magazine, Taunton
Press, K1C2 company, Bond America, Down East Books, and others.
She is a past featured designer for a TKGA convention. She is also
past online editor for a large dot com crafts company.
She is an experienced graphic designer and illustrator.
